Programme 1 · Money & Investor Protection
coins.ngo
Financial literacy on money and digital assets.
Five checks before you invest or transfer money
- Check the firm is authorised. In the UK, search the FCA Financial Services Register and contact the firm only through the details listed there — not those in an advert, message or call you received.
- Treat guaranteed returns, unusually high returns and pressure to decide quickly as warning signs.
- Make sure you understand what you are buying, every fee you will pay, and how and when you can get your money back.
- Never let someone you do not know take remote control of your device, open an account for you or move money on your behalf, and never share one-time passcodes.
- If something feels wrong, stop. Contact your bank straight away and report the matter to the police.
What this site will publish
- What digital assets are and the risks involved
- How to recognise crypto and investment scams
- Plain-language guides to how money works

Conflicts of interest
Our founder also works in finance, including investment banking and a commercial data project on tokenised assets. The company is independent of those activities: it does not link to them, promote them or share users with them. Any related-party transaction is approved and recorded under our articles and disclosed in our annual community interest report.
